Who We Are:
Welcome to GracePointe Church - a Covenant Family of Hope.
What does Covenant Family of Hope mean to us, and how does it define us? There are three keys within that phrase.
First, we have covenant. God, throughout scripture, relates to us through covenants - his promises to us. We, as a church, are dependent upon the word of God and the promises within. As we worship and work, we rest on his word alone as it is our only source of truth and life (2 Timothy 3:14-17).
Next, we have family. Scripture calls us to be more than just a group of people who know each other and hang out. Scripture calls us to be family - helping one another out, being in fellowship together, praying for one another, worshiping together, sharing life together, and ministering together (Acts 2:42-47). We seek to be a family that loves and is there for each other.
Finally, we have hope. The truth of God’s word is that this is not our home. The sorrow, sickness, and sin that we deal with are a result of the fall. Things are not the way they are supposed to be. However, according to the word, we have hope! We see the gospel truth - that we are sinners who cannot save ourselves, but that through faith in Christ, we have the promise of eternal life (Ephesians 2:1-10, Romans 6:23). We all know that this eternity will be with the Lord and the effects of sin will be reversed (Revelation 21:4). There will be no more suffering, sin, or sorrow any more. Because of this truth, we live filled with hope!
We invite you to come to be a part of GracePointe as we seek to be a family founded on the word and filled with hope!
